- What will I pay in total? Ask which payments can change and where that appears in the agreement.
- What electricity bill will remain? Solar does not automatically remove your utility bill.
- What assumptions support the savings estimate? Ask the provider to explain the usage, rates and system assumptions.
- Is the roof ready? If replacement is approaching, ask about completing that work before panels go on.
- Who will install the equipment? Ask for the contractor's license number and check it with the CSLB.
Ask for the ROC license number and check it with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. Bids, estimates, and advertising must show ROC and the number (Source: ARS 32-1124, azleg.gov).
Write down the answers. Read the CPUC guide and compare what you learn with the proposal. You can ask for time to decide.
Compare the proposal with the APS or SRP price plan listed on the bill, and with the installer's written contract.
